CHRISTIAN AID – PRESENT AID
As Christmas is approaching, we should be thinking of buying a gift for others less fortunate than ourselves- at the same time showing a friend that you value their friendship. We can do that by purchasing a gift from Christian Aid; perhaps a weaving loom for £40 enabling a woman in Afghanistan to create a sustainable income or £19 to train a woman in India to set up a life changing tailoring business. Catalogues are available in the Hub or porches. Purchase direct from Christian Aid or speak to Jean Thompson. (91451336)
COMMUNITY BIBLE EXPERIENCE
The next part of the hugely successful CBE course, the Community Bible Experience will commence in January 2020.
In January and February 2019 about 300 people, children, young people and adults joined to journey.
This time we are reading the most important section, the first five books, Genesis to Deuteronomy.
The pattern is the same as last year, we have five daily readings and come together in small groups once each week to discuss what we discover or what questions we have.
Book Orders need to be with the Office by Monday 16th December to enable them to be delivered in time for the launch on the 12th January.
If ordered through First Bangor there is a substantial discount, with each book being £5 instead of £10+
