UNITED SUNDAY EVENING SERVICES IN JULY / AUGUST
18 August Trinity Presbyterian @ 7pm
25 August Salvation Army @ 6.30pm
THIS IS FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS WORKING WITH
CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE
As part of our care and concern for both children, young people and our volunteer leaders we have a Child Protection Policy adopted from Taking Care Guidelines developed by the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. Michael Yeates has recently become our Designated Person and will be conducting a thorough review of our records and processes to ensure that they are up to date. As it is some years since volunteers received Child Protection Training it has been agreed that every leader must attend the Taking Care training that is planned for September 2019. This announcement is to give leaders plenty of time to get one of the two dates in their diary. The dates are Thursday 12th September at 7.30pm or Saturday 14th September at 10am. The training is compulsory for all leaders and will last for 2 hours. There is no need to register in advance as a register will be taken at each session.
WORSHIP TEAM – We are currently seeking to expand our team, particularly musicians but vocalists also welcome. We cover music for main Sunday services, Big Tree House, BTC and other special/seasonal events. To find out more please speak to Simon or Sharon Cordner in the Hub after the service or text/email: email@example.com

A DATE FOR YOUR DIARY
FRIDAY 6th September – Coffee Morning in the Hub First Bangor
Prison Fellowship N. Ireland (N. Down Support Group) are hosting this event as part of the P.F. International Week of Events, around the world.
Note from Maitland Eves: As a founder member of P.F.N.I., I would like you to hear something of its growth under God’s leading, from small prayerful beginnings almost 40 years ago, to today’s fellowship where many volunteers join with P.F. Staff to minister to prisoners, ex-prisoners, hurting families and those needing support practically and spiritually. Many have come to faith in Christ and are leading transformed lives. Also you will hear of P.F. International working in more than 100 countries. I think you would find this event enlightening, stimulating and worthy of your support.
If you would like to join the confidential prayer email please contact Meriel on firstname.lastname@example.org / 07427737227. If you would like to pray with others please contact Jenny Holley (email@example.com) about the Intercessors group which meet on Tuesday mornings at 10.15am in the Prayer Room upstairs.
THE LEPROSY MISSION ‘HEAL NEPAL’
A Massive THANK YOU to all in First Bangor who helped raise £4,154,781 (including UK government match funding). This will be used to train teams of Outreach Workers who will go to remote communities to find and cure people with leprosy. Please continue to pray that they will be reached before developing life-long disabilities.
