11 Moderator – Designate
Pray for
Rev William Henry, Maze Presbyterian, recently voted in as the new Moderator Designate
God’s blessings and gifting for him in the next months before taking office.
He will wait on the Lord, listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit and seek to serve Him with courage and humility.
Mairisine, Rev David Bruce and Rev Albin Rankin know and rest in God’s peace.
They know they are in His will and carrying out His purposes ‘for such a time as this’.

Many marginalised and suppressed people in Bihar state will see their lives transformed because we are partnering in God’s work through EHA and SAAHARA
Pray for Tearfund India Staff carrying extra responsibilities as Prince David hasn’t returned yet to full employment after the death of his wife.
Johnson, Programme Manager leading his team in five villages –that they will gain the trust of the villagers as they impart knowledge of better farming methods.
Give thanks for New self-esteem in each villager’s life as they begin to prosper.
Slavery mind-sets of generations being broken.

Ongoing work of eradicating leprosy and supporting leprosy sufferers around the world.
Work of every church rep; speaker and advocate throughout N. Ireland
Joanne Briggs, her staff team and board taking key decisions to raise awareness and increased funds

The dedication and service of Ellen Barr our own Rep; the dedicated doctors, nurses , physiotherapists and social workers who minister in Your Name the medical and scientific breakthroughs in recent years.

Further donations to clear old debts and obtain financial stability.
The ongoing outreach of the hospital and the safety of staff in this wet season.
Lynn’s key role as surgeon, staff trainer and administrator.
Safety and protection as staff are exposed to HIV/AIDS daily while treating patients.
Johnny – home schooling their two daughters.

The family and friends of the four children who died in a house fire.
Lord in Your mercy bring your love and compassion, healing and strength to all.

Our understanding of the power of prayer will increase

For the next 4 weeks we are going on a journey through the whole New Testament together.
So far nearly 275 people have started reading, it’s not too late to join in. Books are still available in the Hub after the service
today or from the Church Office during the week.
If you haven’t yet paid for your book, please forward all money to the Church Office as soon as possible.

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER SERVICE will be in First Bangor on Friday 1st March 2019 at 11am. The service has been prepared by Christian Women of Slovenia: Come – Everything is Ready. Tea and Coffee will be served from 10am. Glenlola Choir will be singing.

AN EVENING FOR PARENTS AND YOUTH LEADERS – Thursday 7th March 7.30pm – 9pm in the Meeting Place, followed by refreshments in the Hub. Please add your name to the sign-up sheet in the Hub.
An evening with Graeme Thompson and Ruth Bromley helping parents and youth leaders learn how best to encourage our children and young people to grow up as devoted followers of Jesus.

We have once again booked the campsite at Castlewellan for our annual church family weekend. The Castle is not yet booked, but some rooms will be available to us. Please advise the Church Office ASAP if you would like to stay in the castle.
