Pray for
Mairisine, David Meriel and Jo. at the beginning of another busy week of pastoral home visits, hospital visitations, one to one counselling, CBE Groups, study and teaching preparation.
God’s ministry through them as they listen for His voice, bringing encouragement, love, hope strength and comfort to their church family.
Pray
As we walk out our faith journey each week we desire to deepen our relationship with Jesus
For a spirit of expectancy to see how ‘big’ our God is and expect Him to move and to act.
Give thanks
For the Gathering and for our young folk stepping up and using their skills and talents.
That Jo has been encouraged to organise a March Gathering and ask that the Holy Spirit will lead and be in the centre of every stage of the preparations.

The work of Christian Aid’s partners working in the Amazon in communities threatened by climate change.
Each forest community provided with solar panels, solar pumps, solar driers and solar ovens.

For the financial and health benefits these bring to the poorest and most remote communities.
For the support of the Irish Methodist Church for these projects.

World Development Appeal
Give thanks
For this years ‘Seeking Safety’ projects in Brazil, helping women who face gender- based violence.
For Rev Elineide Ferreira whose heart is for working with the women and children in the two ‘safe houses’
Pray
For each woman to be restored physically and emotionally freed and empowered.
More safe houses can be established through increased financial support.
PCI’s financial support to Christian Aid and Tearfund will bring about many miracles of transformation

LOST PROPERTY – Items have been on display now for the past week. All unclaimed items will be given to charity tomorrow (18th)

THANK YOU to all who came along to support our BB & GB PANTO at the end of January. We were able to raise £1,700 for the Church’s wider youth work and for the Connected Church Tearfund appeal.
INTERESTED IN BECOMING OUR NEW TREASURER?
Austin Foote has held the position for 5 years and gave notice at the last AGM that he wished to step down from the role. To honour Austin’s wishes we need to appoint a new treasurer by the next AGM (14th March 2019). If anyone would be interested in finding out more about what the role entails please contact Rev. David Stanfield (07771785544). It is the intention of Austin to continue to support the person appointed and for his wife Margaret to continue to work with the new treasurer.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER SERVICE will be in First Bangor on Friday 1st March 2019 at 11am. The service has been prepared by Christian Women of Slovenia: Come – Everything is Ready. Tea and Coffee will be served from 10am. Glenlola Choir will be singing.

AN EVENING FOR PARENTS AND YOUTH LEADERS – Thursday 7th March 7.30pm – 9pm in the Meeting Place, followed by refreshments in the Hub. Please add your name to the sign-up sheet in the Hub.

An evening with Graeme Thompson and Ruth Bromley helping parents and youth leaders learn how best to encourage our children and young people to grow up as devoted followers of Jesus.

CASTLEWELLAN CHURCH FAMILY WEEKEND 7-9 June 2019
We have once again booked the campsite at Castlewellan for our annual church family weekend. The Castle is not yet booked, but some rooms will be available to us. Please advise the Church Office ASAP if you would like to stay in the castle.
